HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?

Acupuncture is proven to increase circulation, reduce inflammation, and decrease pain and stress to stimulate your body’s own natural healing mechanism. It can also regulate the nervous system and stimulate the release of endorphins and opioids in the brain. The traditional explanation is that acupuncture works by affecting Qi (pronounced "chee"), or vital energy to restore balance and wellness to the body.

DOES IT HURT?

No. Acupuncture needles are so fine, about as thin and flexible as a human hair, that most people don’t feel them being inserted. The majority of people feel deeply relaxed while the needles are in place, which can continue well after they are removed.

DOES IT WORK?

Yes, acupuncture has been around for thousands of years for one reason: it works. It is one of the fastest growing fields in health care due to its continued success in reducing stress, improving energy, and relieving pain.
